Band-sawn oak parquet was chosen for a modern kitchen extension in this Edwardian townhouse. The oversized herringbone floor in the neutral Tate Bute flows throughout the entire ground floor, connecting the new extension seamlessly to the original part of the house. The texture of the band-saw marks and the natural, earthy shade of the timber fit well within the palette of neutral colours used throughout the house.
